Why Your Labs Can Be Normal Even When You Feel Terrible

One of the most common things I hear from new patients is this:

“My doctor says my labs look normal.”

Many have had extensive testing done before they come to see me. Blood work. Stool testing. Saliva testing. Urine testing. Tox Screenings. Many times thousands of dollars’ worth of functional medicine panels.

And yet they are still not well.

They are tired. Inflamed. Struggling with digestion, hormones, immune issues, brain fog, anxiety, or chronic pain.

They have seen multiple practitioners. They have tried countless protocols and supplements. They have spent a great deal of money searching for answers.

And still nothing has truly changed.

The reason this happens is actually quite simple.

Most testing looks in the wrong place.

Where Most Labs Look

Conventional and functional lab testing typically looks at what is circulating in the blood, stool, saliva, hair or urine

These tests can certainly provide useful information in some situations.

But many of the stressors that actually interfere with health are not circulating freely in these fluids.

They are often embedded much deeper in the body.

Hidden stressors can exist within organs, tissues, and glands themselves. These stressors may disrupt function long before anything appears abnormal on a lab report. Most times many years before.

When this happens, a person can feel very unwell even though their labs appear “normal.”

Why Expensive Testing Still Misses the Root Cause

Many people are surprised to learn that even very sophisticated and expensive testing can still overlook the true underlying causes of their symptoms.

The reason is not necessarily that the tests are wrong.

It is simply that they are looking in places where these stressors are not easily detected.

This is why many people can go through extensive testing, receive long lists of supplements, and still feel like they are stuck in the same cycle.

The symptoms may temporarily improve, then return again.

More supplements are added.

More testing is ordered.

And the cycle continues.

More money is spent.

But nothing really changes long term.

A Different Way of Assessing the Body

The work I do approaches this differently.

Using Nutrition Response Testing, we assess the body through the nervous system (the control panel) to identify hidden stressors affecting organs, glands, and tissues.

This is a hands-on assessment that allows the body to communicate where stress is present and what support may be needed.

Rather than relying solely on laboratory values, we are able to evaluate how organs and systems are actually functioning in real time.

This often reveals stressors that would not appear on standard laboratory testing.

Why This Matters

When the true underlying stressors affecting the body are identified, it becomes possible to support the body in a much more targeted and effective way.

Instead of guessing.

Instead of chasing symptoms.

Instead of continually adding more supplements.

We can focus on addressing the stressors that are interfering with the body’s ability to function properly now.

When those barriers are removed and the body receives the right support, healing can finally begin.

This is why many of my patients come to see me after years of searching for answers.

They have done the testing.

They have seen the specialists.

They have spent a great deal of money trying to figure out what is wrong.

What they are often most relieved to discover is that the body was not failing them.

The real stressors affecting their health had simply never been properly identified.

If you have been told your labs are normal but you still do not feel well, a Comprehensive Health Assessment may help uncover what has been overlooked.

Schedule your Comprehensive Health Assessment to begin identifying the underlying stressors affecting your health.

I look forward to working with you.
